The Sikorsky X2 Technology Demonstrator is an experimental compound helicopter with coaxial rotors currently under development. Utilizing a 6-bladed pusher propeller delivered by Rotating Composite Technologies, LLC. the aircraft achieved an unofficial helicopter speed record of 250 knots on September 15th, 2010. On March 15, 2011, the Sikorsky X2 Technology Demonstrator won the 2010 Robert J. Collier Trophy , which is awarded for the greatest achievement in aeronautics or astronautics in America.
